WISDOM BEGINS HERE - SO DOES YOUR ETERNAL LIFE
Fifteen minutes per day is all it takes to read through the Bible in a year. That's not much time to invest in something so important.
If you really want to get to the heart of God's plan for your salvation, start with one of the four biographies of Jesus: Matthew, Mark, Luke, or John. JESUS IS THE CENTRAL FIGURE OF NOT ONLY THE BIBLE, BUT OF ALL TIME. Then read Paul's Letter to the Romans. Understand who Jesus is and why he had to endure the cross in a necessary and unique act of love and justice. Ask the question, "If there had been any other way, why would God have sent Jesus to suffer the humiliation and pain of the cross?" Listen to Jesus' final words on the cross, "Father, forgive them, for they know not what they do." Check out Isaiah 53 or Psalm 22 to get a glimpse of the future suffering Messiah the prophet saw hundreds of years before he walked the Earth.
Then return to Genesis 1-3 and learn about the One who created the entire Cosmos. Understand that his love for mankind gave us the free will to reject him and break our perfect relationship with him. Think what the rejection of God has meant to all of human history. Now jump ahead to Revelation 21 and see that God is creating a New Heaven and New Earth for those whose sins have been wiped clean by Jesus' work on the cross. Tears, suffering, and death will be gone. The perfectly loving relationship with our Creator will be restored.
