Evolution and Darwin's "Origin of Species" ultimately point back to the "Origin of the First Species," which in turn points back to the origin of space-time, matter and energy, in addition to the finely-tuned natural laws and initial conditions of the universe.
In order to keep evolution in context we need to start by asking why there is something rather than nothing. Something had to always exist. Was it the universe? Was it a multiverse? If not, what are our options?
Start in the Philosophy Department above to discovery what options are open to us in the context of the natural sciences. Then visit Physics, Chemistry, Paleontology, and finally Biology.
Enjoy your journey. You are free to roam about the universe.
